| Pineland Hibiscus is also known as Comfortroot or as Swamp Mallow. In July and August these plants are common along roads in Mobile County. The flowers are fully open in the early morning, and tend to close latter in the day. The leaves are simular to velcro and will stick to loosely woven fabric, especially socks. These plants were photographed near Shipyard Road, in South Mobile County, Alabama, in June. |
